Halls High School offers a wide range of clubs and organizations that give students the chance to explore interests, develop leadership skills, and build connections with peers. From academic teams and service organizations to special-interest groups and honor societies, there’s a place for every student to get involved.

Participation in clubs encourages teamwork, responsibility, and school spirit while helping students make the most of their high school experience. Whether pursuing a passion or trying something new, students are encouraged to find a group that inspires them and get involved.

Halls High School Student Ambassadors serve as leaders and representatives of our school. They help welcome new students, families, community members and business partners, assist with events, and promote school spirit and community involvement. Students are selected to join the program through an application and interview process.

Book Club

Red Devil Readers is a book club for Halls High students and staff. Book club is a safe space to share your love of reading, no matter what kind of reader you are! We talk current reads, childhood favorites, and everything in between. Meeting are the first Wednesday of each month during lunch in the HHS library. Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private schools. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Noblesse Oblige “to whom much is given, much is expected.”

The Halls High Chapter of the National Honor Society was first given its charter on September 15, 1960. For 66 years, the National Honor Society and the Halls High faculty have been honoring our students with membership based on the criteria of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Halls High School.

Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty and shall be based on the criteria of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

Candidates eligible for selection to this chapter must have completed five semesters of course work. Only juniors are eligible for induction. Induction is only held once a year in April.
To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Halls High School.
Candidates eligible for election to the chapter shall have a minimum cumulative weighted grade point average of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale. The GPA can not be rounded up for a candidate to be qualified. The 4.00 GPA has to be earned by the end of the fall semester of the junior year.
Students must have earned all of their credits at CP level and above. Course work must include at least one Advanced Placement or an academic Dual Enrollment course.
Upon meeting the grade level, enrollment, course work, and GPA standards, candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, and character.

Robotics

The robotics team is open to all Halls High School students and other high school aged students, including home school school students, who don't have a team in the area. Our team was founded in 2012 and has been growing ever since. The really cool thing about FIRST Robotics Competition is…all skill levels are welcomed and needed, technical or non-technical. We need all kinds of skills to succeed, so what are you good at? We have a job for you. And we’ll probably teach you a few new ones while you’re with us. The team is comprised of the following sub-teams: design & build, drive, business, media, programming, safety, and scouting/strategy. Members usually participate in or lend a helping hand to multiple sub-teams. We strive to take on new members in the early fall, but will accept new members throughout the year. Student Government Association (SGA)

The Halls High School Student Government Association (SGA) organizes and leads a wide range of school activities that build community and school spirit. We coordinate major events such as Homecoming and Spirit Week, help plan student section themes, and oversee each class’s senior gift back to the school. In addition, we raise funds to support school needs, encourage student and teacher ideas, and create opportunities for students to be actively involved in shaping their school experience.
